International Mentor Network

Are you interested in joining our International Mentor Network?

By joining our International Mentor Network, you will get an opportunity to meet a colleague (and maybe his or her family) in a new and different way.

The main objective of this network is to create professional and social relations on the job, to help our researchers from abroad to feel more at home while living and working in Denmark and to support integration with the colleagues at the university.

Twice a year, ISM facilitates an International Mentor Network kick-off meeting where all volunteer mentors and mentees get together. The mentors are Danish employees while the mentees are researchers from abroad, and the network is thus a mix of employees from across the university.

It is our experience that mentors and mentees regard this network as an excellent opportunity to get together in a truly international environment, and they enjoy the scientific as well as social sparring. On request of members, ISM arranges get-together dinners where members of all rounds of networks join. Your spouse and children are welcome to participate. Besides, you are welcome to participate in any of ISM's many events (you can read more in our ISM calendar).
