Dansk Café - language café, Online
Would you like to practise your spoken Danish skills in an informal setting? Join Dansk Café.
International Staff Mobility (ISM) offers a language café for international researchers at the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with the Copenhagen Language Center.
The Dansk Café will open up again, but online to start. If you have attended previously, the online sessions will be a bit different from what you’ve been used to. You will either join a beginner or an intermediate session. The beginner session is class based teaching following a well-tested teaching environment. The intermediate session is also tested at the Copenhagen Language Center and will be based on presentation by the teacher and small break out rooms, where the participants interact with each other.
The programme used for the online sessions is Adobe Connect. As you will receive a link for the session, you must sign up at least one day before the language café. You can either download the app or use your browser for the session. During the sessions, it is also required that you have a headset and a webcam.
Dansk Café is a great and informal way to practise your Danish language skills with other researchers. There is no preparation or specific skills required to participate, and it is free to join. You can join one or all café sessions – each session is carried out independently.
At the first meeting, participants will have to provide some basic information to the Copenhagen Language Center to access their online learning platform.
