UNIQUE ISM ONLINE EVENTS FOCUSING ON WELL-BEING, RESILIENCE, RESHAPING AND/OR RE-ASSESSING GOALS AND BELIEFS, AS WELL AS MENTAL SOUNDNESS!

Join us online for a winter and spring 2021 filled with resources, inspiration, and informative workshops with leading mental health advocates.

From September to November 2021, International Staff Mobility (ISM) offers again a new series of unique, dynamic and interactive online and onsite workshops in International House Copenhagen, focusing on well-being, resilience, re-shaping and/or re-assessing goals and beliefs, as well as mental soundness. In these blended series of interactive workshops, you will dive deeper into these topics, as well as purposeful habits and the neuroscience behind well-being.

The workshops are specifically designed to address and acknowledge some of the well-being challenges we may face in the current situation, to equip participants with hands on tools that can ease these challenges, and to raise awareness about coping with change. Together, we will focus on defining well-being and provide tips and tools to help integrate it into everyday living. The workshops are interactive, solution oriented with individual tasks and provide hands on tools to apply in your professional as well as personal life.

As an adult she has experienced life as a repatriate as well as an expat and she is not a stranger to the challenges and opportunities that life abroad offers. After meeting her Danish husband, she moved to Denmark in 2008. Kathy holds MA’s in Cultural Studies and in American Studies. She has been able to combine her passion and profession as an Intercultural Trainer, owner of Active Action, public speaker, writer, and facilitator. Day 1: Practicing Well-Being 
9th September 9:00–12:30 - Onsite International House Copenhagen

Day 2: Recognising Stress
21st September 10:00–12:00 - Online via Zoom

This workshop will focus on how do we bring back balance into our lives during these challenging times of uncertainty? In this onsite event, we will discuss what wellbeing means, in what ways it can be achieved or increased, and how to implement wellbeing practices in daily life. During this interactive workshop, the participants will be working in groups and individually with various hands-on tools, which can easily be translated into daily practices.

Day 1: Practicing Well-Being 
Together we will:

  • Raise awareness about Seligman’s PERMA Model
  • Fill out a well-being wheel to pin point the areas of life that need more attention

Day 2: Recognising Stress
Together we will:

  • Find out how to diminish Stress
  • Conduct a Personal Stress Audit: How are you currently dealing with stress

You will gain:

  • Insight of the PERMA Model and how it leads to a more fulfilled life when applied daily
  • Become more aware of triggers and thinking errors

Ioana Lăzărescu

Ioana is an international consultant who has spent more than a decade coaching top-level managers to be better communicators and presenters in the English language, and for the past three years she has been coaching the keynote speakers of conferences (in the Nordics as well as Southern Europe), consulting and coaching with the European Training Foundation (Italy). She is also a TEDx speaker coach. As a facilitator Ioana gives the participants an inside peek into the experience of being coached as a TEDx speaker. Ioana is a certified senior practitioner of neuromindfulness, from Neuromindfulness Institute - a concept that brings together the latest research in neuroscience and ancient mindfulness practices.

Day 2: Neuroscience and the path to Well-Being

The Power Within workshop will focus on the impact expectations have on our emotional and professional well-being. During the workshop, we will define what expectations are, and share tools to diminish their impact. This workshop is also dedicated to learning about emotional resilience. Emotional Resilience is how individuals cope with change and especially unexpected change - a topic we have all had to embrace during this past year. The Power Within workshop introduces hands-on solutions and tools to take away and apply in everyday personal and professional situations.

  • Raise awareness and learn how to Manage Expectations
  • Gain knowledge about Emotional Resilience, how it effects our everyday lives, and how to expand it

Day 2: Neuroscience and the path to Well-Being
Together we will:

  • Gain knowledge about Emotional Resilience, how it effects our everyday lives, and how to expand it
  • Define anxiety and how to manage it

You will gain:

  • Unlock the biology of alertness and relaxation
  • Connect the dots between brain and daily life

YOUR LIFE BY DESIGN

Day 1: Approaches to Managing Stress
4th November 10:00–12:00 - Online via Zoom

Day 2: Professional Life Vision & Goal Setting
16th November 9:00–12:30 - Onsite in International House Copenhagen

During this workshop we will deep dive into managing stress. We will assess work-related stress and raise awareness about taking proactive action to prevent or cope with stress. Together we will also recognize signs of stress as well as implement techniques and methods, developed by renowned psychologists and researchers, which can allow the participants to experience daily life with new energy and inspiration.

Day 1: Approaches to Managing Stress
Together we will: 

  • Investigate stress triggers
  • Introduce tools to manage stress

Day 2: Professional Life Vision & Goal Setting
Together we will: 

  • Zoom in on the importance of goal setting
  • Explore the use of visual aids in setting goals - create a mind map

You will gain:

  • Knowledge how to assess work-related stress and take proactive action
  • Learn to use the Life Wheel to see which spheres of life need closer attention
  • Ability to evaluate which goals are most important currently and how to set them
