Winter in Denmark can be tough, especially the first ones we experience after arriving in this country. It is common to feel as if all the energy has been zapped out during the dark, short days. In this online workshop we will identify SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and Winter Blues, focus on tools and strategies to combat the blues and keep thriving. We will discuss the importance of self-care and well-being, and prepare an individual Thrive in Winter Back Pack. ALIGNING PERSONAL VALUES WITH LIFESTYLE CHOICES FOR A BALANCED BODY AND MIND!

Please note that this is an on-site workshop

April 13th 9.00 -12.30 (including lunch)

The mind and the body are closely connected and this workshop takes a deeper dive into the effects that neuroscience has on our daily life.

When we do not live in tune with our personal values, we create tension both in our mind and in our body, through biochemistry. Values are strong forces that can cause powerful internal (and external) conflicts. This impacts our general level of stress (cortisol), motivation and drive (dopamine), life satisfaction (serotonin) and relationships (oxytocin).

We will discover how optimize our biochemistry from the outside in: by creating an environment that aligns with our personal values. Finally, we will discover how gratitude works based on research and neuroscience and what is the best way to practice it.

This is a 3 hour in-person workshop (9.00 - 12.00) with lunch following the workshop

Together we will:

  • take a closer look at Stress hormones and Happy hormones
  • explore core values and their impact on our life choices
  • understand the interaction between lifestyle and biochemistry
  • discover the science behind gratitude

What will the participants gain:

  • knowledge regarding stress hormones and happy hormones
  • become familiar with their core values by taking a personal values assessment
