UNIQUE ISM ONLINE EVENTS FOCUSING ON WELL-BEING, RESILIENCE, RE-SHAPING AND/OR RE-ASSESSING GOALS AND BELIEFS, AS WELL AS MENTAL SOUNDNESS!

Join us online and in-person for a winter and spring 2022 filled with resources, inspiration, and informative workshops with leading mental health advocates.

International Staff Mobility (ISM) offers again a new series of unique, dynamic, and interactive online and onsite workshops focusing on well-being, resilience, re-shaping and/or re-assessing goals and beliefs, as well as mental soundness. In these blended series of interactive workshops, you will dive deeper into these topics, as well as into purposeful habits and the neuroscience behind well-being.

The workshops are specifically designed to address and acknowledge some of the well-being challenges we may face in the current situation, to equip participants with hands on tools that can ease these challenges, and to raise awareness about coping with change. Together, we will focus on defining well-being and provide tips and tools to help integrate it into everyday living. The workshops are interactive, solution oriented with individual tasks and provide hands on tools to apply in your professional as well as personal life.

Living Your Best Life!

Living Your Best Life workshop is a creative, insightful, dynamic and engaging workshop which focuses on passion meets purpose! This workshop allows Internationals to take a closer look at the possibilities they have, and to take action.

Awareness is key, therefore, it is crucial to explore the possibilities and start focusing on the vision you have for yourself. During this in-person workshop we will take a look at the importance of goal setting, discover how visual aids can support life goal visions.

Finally, during the Vision Board part of the workshop we will zoom in on the Internationals positive vision of their future. This is a creative process which taps into our sources of energy, visualization capabilities, motivation and allows us to envision the life/profession we desire.

This is a 3 hour in-person workshop (9.00 - 12.00) with lunch following the workshop

Together we will:

  • focus and discuss the vision you have for yourself — strengths, talents, interests
  • zoom in on the importance of goal setting
  • explore individual strengths
  • create a vision board

What will the participants gain:

  • the skill of using visual tools (vision board) to create a thriving life action plan
  • assess their personal strengths
  • ability to evaluate which goals are most important currently and how to set them
  • awareness of the 5 principles of goal setting

THE WINTER BLUES BUSTER!

February 10th 10.00 - 11.00

Winter in Denmark can be tough, especially the first ones we experience after arriving in this country. It is common to feel as if all the energy has been zapped out during the dark, short days. But all is not lost - there are ways to fight back and thrive even during the cold winter days. In this online workshop we will identify SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and Winter Blues, focus on tools and strategies to combat the blues and keep thriving. We will discuss the importance of self-care and well-being, and prepare an individual Thrive in Winter Back Pack. The workshop is divided into 2 parts: we will start with the workshop session and meet again for a follow up to check in and see how the tools and strategies are working.

Together we will:

  • discuss symptoms of SAD and Winter Blues and ways to combat them
  • focus on self-care and well-being routines that improve the mood
  • identify mood boosters
  • prepare Individual Thrive in Winter Back Packs

What will the participants gain:

  • tips, tools and easy to use strategies to beat the blues
  • insight why self-care and well-being routines are very important
  • knowledge regarding symptoms and strategies to cope with SAD and Winter Blues

Ioana Lăzărescu

Facilitator and communications expert

Ioana is an international consultant who has spent more than a decade coaching top-level managers to be better communicators and presenters in the English language, and for the past three years she has been coaching the keynote speakers of conferences (in the Nordics as well as Southern Europe), consulting and coaching with the European Training Foundation (Italy). She is also a TEDx speaker coach. As a facilitator Ioana gives the participants an inside peek into the experience of being coached as a TEDx speaker. Ioana is a certified senior practitioner of neuromindfulness, from Neuromindfulness Institute - a concept that brings together the latest research in neuroscience and ancient mindfulness practices. 

 

ALIGNING PERSONAL VALUES WITH LIFESTYLE CHOICES FOR A BALANCED BODY AND MIND!

The mind and the body are closely connected and this workshop takes a deeper dive into the effects that neuroscience has on our daily life.

When we do not live in tune with our personal values, we create tension both in our mind and in our body, through biochemistry. Values are strong forces that can cause powerful internal (and external) conflicts. This impacts our general level of stress (cortisol), motivation and drive (dopamine), life satisfaction (serotonin) and relationships (oxytocin).

We will discover how optimize our biochemistry from the outside in: by creating an environment that aligns with our personal values. Finally, we will discover how gratitude works based on research and neuroscience and what is the best way to practice it.

This is a 3 hour in-person workshop (9.00 - 12.00) with lunch following the workshop

Together we will:

  • take a closer look at Stress hormones and Happy hormones
  • explore core values and their impact on our life choices
  • understand the interaction between lifestyle and biochemistry
  • discover the science behind gratitude

What will the participants gain:

  • knowledge regarding stress hormones and happy hormones
  • become familiar with their core values by taking a personal values assessment
  • insight to science based information about gratitude and what an optimal gratitude practice is made up of
