The mini-workshops are ongoing events around a specific topic conducted for a small group of partners of international employees at the University of Copenhagen.

These events are fun, dynamic and highly interactive! The mini-workshops provide you with the opportunity to network with other likeminded professionals and also get new ideas on how you can optimise your job search!

If you are a little hesitant to join, just give it a small go - you might be surprised by what you can get out of it. You may also find that these sessions open new opportunities, friendships and resources.

Theme: Cover Letter & CV Workshop

Whether you wish to pursue a career in academia or industry, it is essential in your job search that your CV and cover letter is personalised and targeted!

The content of this interactive workshop focuses on inspiring you, and sharing practical methods on how you can strengthen and personalise your job application material. Some of the questions we will go more in depth with include:

  • What types of CVs are there?
  • What is the difference between an academic CV and resume?
  • How to create a winning CV and cover letter?
  • What are the dos & don’ts?

Apart from giving you ideas on how you can personalise your material, this session will also be interactive with some exercises and group work. Further, the workshop will be informal and you will get the opportunity to knowledge share and network with other like-minded professionals.

Whether you are out networking, having your next job interview, visiting a conference, mingling with friends, or you just so happen to know-somebody-who-knows-somebody who's able to help you, you need to be able to present yourself briefly and memorable. Come and be inspired on how you can improve your public speaking skills. A little bit of guidance goes a long way towards making a highly effective presentation! In this interactive session we will go through:

  • Verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Basic guidelines on how you can design your presentation (elevator pitch)
  • How to deal with performance anxiety and nervousness?
  • How to create energy and engage your audience?
