Guided tour of The Hirschsprung Collection

The Hirschsprung Collection

Join us  when we visit this small yet impressive art museum The Hirschsprung Collection on Østerbro. The collection houses more than a century of Danish art, from the Golden Age to the Skagen Painters and the rise of Modernism. On this guided tour, we will dive into the world of Vilhelm Hammershøi and the Symbolists. Their artworks are known for the enigmatic figures, empty, sun dusted rooms, and mysterious landscapes.

The Hirschsprung Collection is beautifully situated in the green parklands of Østre Anlæg in the center of Copenhagen. Founded by tobaccomanufacturer and art collector Heinrich Hirschsprung and his wife Pauline, the museum first opened its doors to the public in the summer of 1911.

Please note, spots for participation are limited, so prompt registration is recommended.
