Join us in-person for the spring of 2025 filled with resources, inspiration, and informative workshops with leading advocates in the respective fields!
This spring, International Staff Mobility (ISM) offers a series of popular, unique, and interactive onsite workshops and events focusing on:
- Mental health and well-being
- Communication and performance
- Danish culture
- Working smarter
- Kids & family networking events
In these blended series of interactive workshops, we will dive deeper into the above topics providing you with inspiration as well as tips, tools and easy to use strategies that may support you in your daily life. Apart from enjoying a delightful lunch and meeting new acquaintances, these events will also have a career focus on giving you tips on career-related topics and cultural aspects in Denmark e.g.
- I need new ideas on how to enhance my job search! Where to start and how to take the first step?
- How does my communication, both verbal and non-verbal affect my job opportunities?
- Understanding the cultural differences you encounter, and how it affects your job search.
Each workshop will be conceptualised based on input from guest speakers, recruiters/headhunters, international spouses and expats. The workshops are interactive, solution oriented with individual tasks and provide hands on tools to apply in your professional as well as personal life. Feel free to join these informal and cosy events/workshops, where you will also get the opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals!
Please note that these workshops are for employees and spouses/partners of employees at UCPH. There are limited available free spots, so if you are interested in attending, it is on a first come, first served basis!

The Winter Blues Buster - How to thrive during Winter months in Denmark Winter in Denmark can be tough, especially the dark, long days. It is common to feel as if all the energy has been zapped out during the dark, short days. However, all is not lost - there are tools to fight back, to stay motivated, focused, and thrive despite the cold winter. In this workshop we will identify SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), we will focus on tools and strategies that can increase energy levels and productivity. How to find balance as a parent in a new country Have you moved to Denmark recently with your family? It can be overwhelming to start over in a new country and to bring your family to a place that is new to you as parents as well. Denmark is known for its high quality of life, its work life balance and how family friendly the country is. Yet many expat families experience that it’s difficult for the whole family to settle in Denmark. The goal for this workshop: This 3-hour workshop will focus on expat family life in Denmark and give you plenty of opportunity to share your experiences in a safe surrounding with like-minded, whilst being onboarded to Danish culture when it comes to being a family in Denmark - Danish parenting & raising methods, Danish teaching methodology & some tips and tricks on how to enjoy your spare time in Denmark as a family by touching upon Danish association life. Imposter Syndrome - Calibrate and Combat Imposter Syndrome is real, and it can affect anyone. It is estimated that 70% of people will experience at least one episode of imposter syndrome during their lifetime. In this interactive workshop, we will focus on what Imposter Syndrome is, why it occurs, who is more likely to experience it, and how we can change our thinking to diminish and potentially eliminate Imposter Syndrome from our lives. We will also explore and discuss the 5 Competency Types of Imposter Syndrome. The aim of this workshop is to raise awareness about the very important topic of Imposter Syndrome, acknowledge the reasons for experiencing it, and discuss and learn ways to combat it.

Balance and Well-Being in Your Life How can we bring balance back into our lives during these times of uncertainty? In this course, we will (re)discover that it is helpful to steer our minds with the aid of our bodies - and vice versa. We are all online much more now than we used to be. At times we may find ourselves with low energy levels and struggling to concentrate. The focus of this workshop is also to clarify what well-being is exactly and how the participants can enhance it in their lives by using the PERMA Model.
