ISM Christmas Party 2026

Christmas is one of the most cherished traditions in Denmark, and we would like to invite you and your family to experience some of the customs that make the festive season so special.

The International Staff Mobility team warmly invites all international researchers at UCPH and their families to a cosy Christmas celebration in the University's beautiful Assembly Hall.

We will get an opportunity to enjoy Danish Christmas traditions together. We will serve traditional Danish Christmas food, festive snacks and seasonal drinks, while a choir fills the hall with Christmas carols and hymns.

There will also be Christmas craft activities, where children and adults alike can try their hand at making traditional Danish Christmas decorations and experience a classic part of Danish julehygge.

And who knows... perhaps Father Christmas (Julemanden) will make a surprise visit with gifts for the children!

Registration

Please register yourself. Spouses/partners and children must register separately.

Please remember to indicate the age of your children when registering so Father Christmas can ensure he brings age-appropriate gifts.

Places are limited

Our festive celebration will take place in the University's magnificent Assembly Hall (Festsalen), where space is unfortunately limited. Places will therefore be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family for an afternoon of Danish Christmas traditions, festive cheer and plenty of hygge.
