Guided tour of the Music Museum

Join us for an exciting tour of the Music Museum where we will get to see and hear about some of the incredible highlights in music history all the way from the Bronze age to the present day.

The Music Museum was founded in 1898, but its collection extends much further back in history. The collection includes musical instruments from Europe, Asia, and Africa, ranging from the Bronze Age to the present day. The museum's newly arranged exhibition is divided into two paths - one path focusing on the development in Denmark from the Bronze Age lur to the present, and another path starting in the Middle Ages and continuing through European time periods until both tracks converge in the globalization of the 20th century.

In the Sound Room, visitors have the opportunity to try out a variety of instruments - here, guests of all ages can explore instruments such as timpani, electric drums, trumpet, xylophones, and many others.

We look forward to seeing you for a fun and interesting day at the Music Museum!
