New Danish classes in 2025

Everyone who arrives in Denmark are entitled to receive free Danish language lessons when they have a CPR-registration. That goes for all internationals working, studying and living in Denmark. The free (municipality-funded) lessons are available for a period of 5 years from the day you arrive. The Danish programme starts with module 1 (level A1) and continues all the way to module 6 (level C1).

Free Danish language lessons on UCPH campus
The University of Copenhagen provides free Danish language lessons on campus each semester for all international employees. We start new Danish classes on all levels in January/February 2025. It is still possible to sign up for a Danish class here

Who can register for lessons om UCPH campus?
The courses are free for all international employees/researchers at the University of Copenhagen. Participation requires that you have a Danish civil registration number (CPR number) and fulfill the criteria for free Danish lessons. You must pay a one-off deposit of 2.000 DKK to begin the course. The deposit is refunded when you finish the course. Please read Terms and conditions in connection to payment and refund.
