Understanding the basics of the Danish model and cross-cultural collaboration in a Danish context

Have you come across the term Danish Model and wondered what it is? Are you puzzled by the Danes´ obsession trade unions and a-kasser (unemployment benefit funds)? Do you sometimes feel lost when it comes to understanding the Danish style of communicating and collaborating in Denmark?

Join the event and get answers to your questions - as well as knowledge you did not know you needed.

What to Expect:

You will get insights to why so many people in Denmark are members of a trade union, and what Danish trade unions and a-kasser (unemployment benefit fund) offer their members - as well as ideas on how to find a relevant trade union. And importantly; how can you as an international, benefit from being a member of a trade union in Denmark.

You will hear about key aspects of cross-cultural collaboration and cultural intelligence - and we will relate it to the working culture at Danish workplaces, such as for example informality, flat hierarchy, equality, trust, and collaboration.

You will get a chance to share your experiences as well as compare Denmark with your native country and other cultures you have experience with, to gain better understanding on why certain aspects might be difficult to you and not to the person next to you.

It will be an interactive workshop, where you get the opportunity to share experiences and of course ask questions.
