WORKSHOP: The In-Between - Men* Building a Life After Relocation - Part 2

Have you moved to Denmark with your partner and found yourself asking: what’s next for me?
Relocating as an international partner can be more complex than expected. While your partner starts a new chapter, you may be navigating a new job market, language, and culture — while also rethinking identity, purpose, and direction.

Join Part 2 of this interactive workshop!
New participants are very welcome – you can join without having attended Part 1.

From Reflection to Action
Part 1 created space for reflection.
Part 2 is about moving forward.
This session focuses on how to actively navigate your transition in Denmark — with practical tools, shared experiences, and clear next steps.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Clarifying direction and priorities
  • Reframing identity and motivation beyond work
  • Building structure, connection, and momentum

PRACTICAL TOOLS & TAKEAWAYS

  • A simple reflection framework to define next steps
  • Tools to rebuild motivation and daily structure
  • Practical ways to expand network and belonging in Denmark
  • A personal action point to move forward

Facilitator

George Karavas

George holds a PhD in International Relations and is an independent consultant specialising in international relations, Africa–China relations, and visual politics. He has worked as a lecturer in peace and conflict studies and as a researcher on projects focused on diversity and inclusion within national security communities.

Before entering academia and consulting, George worked as a professional cook and toured with a band in Australia—experiences that continue to shape his relational, grounded approach to facilitation and community-building.

Now based in Denmark since 2022 with his family, George brings lived experience as an accompanying partner, giving him a deep understanding of the emotional and practical realities of relocation, with a strong focus on wellbeing, belonging, and rebuilding purpose—while still figuring out the system, weather and mastering the coffee culture in Denmark.
