Event description
This two-day in‑person SARU event brings Ukrainian researchers together for networking, professional exchange, and social interaction in a supportive and informal setting.
The programme combines a social element with a focused academic programme.
On Thursday afternoon and evening, participants are invited to a social gathering in the city, including dinner, providing an opportunity to meet peers and strengthen professional connections in an informal setting.
On Friday morning, the event continues at Søndre Campus with an in‑person workshop on presentation techniques, focusing on how to deliver a clear and compelling three‑minute PhD presentation. The session introduces core techniques for effective academic presentations, including structure and storytelling, vocal delivery, body language, and facial expression. Participants will apply these techniques in practice by delivering their own three‑minute presentation and will receive feedback through peer observation, identifying strengths as well as areas for further development. A compendium with tips and best practices will be shared in advance as background reading.
