Connect, Share & Present - SARU Networking Days in Copenhagen
Event description
This two-day in‑person SARU event brings Ukrainian researchers together for networking, professional exchange, and social interaction in a supportive and informal setting.
The programme combines a social element with a focused academic programme.
Thursday, September 10th
Participants are invited to a social gathering in the afternoon and evening, including dinner, providing an opportunity to meet peers and strengthen professional connections in an informal setting.
We are pleased to announce that the meeting point will be Ukraine House in Denmark!
Dinner will follow at an external location (to be announced).
Friday, September 11th
The event continues with an academic programme focused on presentation and networking skills.
From 09:00 to 10:00, participants are invited to coffee and croissants.
From 10:00 to 12:00, the programme features an in‑person workshop on presentation techniques, focusing on how to deliver a clear and compelling three‑minute PhD presentation. The session introduces core techniques for effective academic presentations, including structure and storytelling, vocal delivery, body language, and facial expression. Participants will apply these techniques in practice by delivering their own three‑minute presentation and will receive feedback through peer observation, identifying strengths as well as areas for further development. A compendium with tips and best practices will be shared in advance as background reading.
Facilitator: Sophie Swerts Knudsen from CIP (Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use)
After lunch, the programme continues with The Importance of Networking.
