Employee receives permit, travels to DK, and initiates house search
When the residence and work permit are issued, ISM will be notified, and we will share the copy of the decision with the employee and HR. If the employee is visa exempt, they do not need a visa sticker to travel to Denmark. However, those who are not visa exempt will need a visa sticker in their passport to enter Denmark.
Once in Denmark, the next step is to find accommodation to activate the Administrative CPR number stated in the decision letter. Unfortunately, International Staff Mobility (ISM) does not assist with the practical aspects of finding accommodation. However, we can provide a lot of useful information on our website regarding how to search for accommodation. The house search can be initiated before one arrives in Denmark, but ISM recommends that you always see the house or apartment in person before signing a lease contract.
